The wholesale grocery trade achieved a 6.2% growth in terms of value and 1.5% in terms of volume during 2018, despite the fact that this year was complicated due to thefts and traffic that the sector faced, said Iñaki Landáburu Llaguno, Executive President of the National Wholesalers Association (ANAM).
There was growth in all areas of the country and in all the products marketed by ANAM associates. Landáburu explained that the three companies with the highest sales in the national wholesale channel were: Nestlé, which concentrated 8.4% of the total, Kimberly with 7.8% and Gamesa with 4.9%, which implies an increase of 10.8%, 0.3% and 5.5% respectively, compared to 2017.
