From the COVID-19 pandemic, the first 6 months of 2020 has seen unprecedented changes to our world. Due to efforts to mitigate the chain of infection, crowd gathering activities have been banned or at the very least severely curtailed. Face-to-face contact between people from different countries is even more difficult, which is why the number of online activities, meetings and use of video conference apps have skyrocketed.
To promote Taiwan franchises and chain brands, TAITRA held online B2B meetings on Jun. 24. A total of 24 Taiwanese chain brand operators and 10 buyers from 7 countries, including Canada, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar, South Korea, and China, participated. These countries’ delegates applied through TAITRA's overseas offices to participate in the online B2B meetings with the Taiwanese chain brand operators. This zero contact mode of meeting is one way to still create business opportunities even during COVID-19.
In addition to internationally well-known Taiwanese beverage brands such as Chatime, Happy Lemon and Bubble Z, many overseas companies requested to have meetings with Taiwanese snack brands, especially fried chicken like Fried Chicken Master (www.chickenmaster.com.tw), and J&G Fried Chicken (en.jg-group1973.com/), and Angel Chicken.
