Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion showcases state-of-the-art Healthcare Technologies & Services in 3D Virtual Reality

In order to promote Taiwan’s healthcare industry, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has set up Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion at TAIWAN EXPO 2021 in Vietnam virtual exhibition, starting from 21st July to August 23rd, 2021. Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion features 12 high quality healthcare firms showcasing top-notched healthcare services, equipment, smart medical devices, skincare and nutrition products from Taiwan. Visitors can enjoy viewing products and services exhibits in interactive 3D virtual reality.
Dr. Huey-Herng Sheu, the superintendent of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, who has pioneered innovative hospital management by incorporating digital tools and the methodology of the Toyota Production System, has been working closely with medical institutes in Vietnam on medical referral and medical training in recent years. TVGH, being one of the top-ranked hospitals in Taiwan, takes priority in ensuring that patient care quality and safety by using detail-oriented management system, which aims to prevent wasting resources, streamlining the admission process.
Other participating hospitals and firms include: National Cheng Kung University Hospital with strength in specializing multi-disciplinary medical treatment and services; Landseed International Hospital has a specialty in Pain Management; Biotegy Corporation focuses on Design and Development for Minimally Invasive Surgery; BriteMED Technology Inc. provides comprehensive products & solutions; Insight Medical Solutions Inc. with “Medical Imaging Assisted Diagnosis” system; TaiHao Medical Inc. with AI Screening of Breast in Ultrasound system; Biozyme Biotechnology that uses plant essence to create a healthy product; Hi-Q Marine Biotech with focus on “Low Molecular Fucoidan” products; OmQi Bio-technology with their cloud-based healthcare management system; and WEL-BLOOM Bio-Tech Corporation that provides a one-stop service for ODM/OEM product in healthcare.
The National Health Insurance Administration from the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MoHW) also takes the opportunity by participating in the virtual event to share experience of how Taiwan’s public and private sectors utilize technology to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully, these valuable experiences and information sharing by Taiwan can help others to endure and recover from the pandemic faster.
Taiwan and Vietnam have a close and steadily growing bilateral trade relationship. Moreover, we have a lot of cooperation in the field of medicine and health, including medical and health personnel training, epidemic prevention, etc. According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan, in 2020, more than 39,000 Vietnamese citizens came to Taiwan for medical services.
Taiwan has emerged as the top choice for patients seeking international health care. In fact, Taiwan is equipped with advanced medical technology, skilled medical professionals, located strategically, and most importantly, affordable prices with cost-effective treatment. According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, in 2020 top ranking influx of global medical tourists to Taiwan includes Southeast Asia, Mainland China, America, North-East Asia, and other countries.
Coupled with the online exhibition, TAITRA also staged a healthcare related online conference “Taiwan and Vietnam Together for a Healthy Life” on July 13, 2021, to provide a platform for businesses and individuals to share experience and knowledge in healthcare related topics.
