The 6th International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis - Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting (ISPD-APCM), to be held at Grand Hotel Taipei in Taiwan, on September 27th to 29th 2013. PD has become a major treatment modality in some Asia-Pacific countries. In 1984, three medical centers in Taiwan began to initiate CAPD to treat ESRD patients. By the year 2013, chronic PD therapy will have been administered in Taiwan for third decades. According to the annual report of USRDS 2011, the prevalence and incidence of ESRD in many Asian countries are among the highest in the world.
