Chang Gung Medical Foundation (長庚醫療財團法人) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the University of Malaya Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur on April 15th, 2019. Under the witness of President and CEO of TAITRA, Mr. Walter M. S. Yeh.
A mission led by the chairperson of the foundation, Diana Wang (王瑞慧), and chairperson of the foundation’s executive committee, Wen-Jin Cherng (程文俊), met with the university’s representative, Yong Zulina Zubairi, and the Secretary General of the Malaysian Ministry of Health, Chen Chaw Min, to further medical cooperation between two countries.
Chang Gung Medical Foundation donated a bionic eye system and 15 hemodialysis machines to the hospital, promising to establish training programs and industrial collaboration between the two institutions.
The University of Malaya Medical Centre will be the seventh to sign a MOU with the Chang Gung Medical Foundation in Malaysia. Other hospitals include Mahkota Medical Centre, Tung Shin Hospital, Klinik Dr. Wong Kai Siong, the Federation of Chinese Physicians & Acupuncturists Association of Malaysia, Putra Bukit Rahman Putra Medical Center, and Lam Wah Ee Hospital.
Chang Gung will also sign MOUs with Parkway Pantai Ltd. and Sunway Medical Centre, reports Liberty Times.
