Myanmar company, Thuriya Win Co., Ltd. (Thuriya Win hereafter), which specializes in the tea business, was invited to join TAITRA’s “ASEAN Business Day” in August, 2019. The one-on-one meetings held by TAITRA introduced Thuriya Win to meet with Taiwanese franchise brands. TAITRA also arranged customized on-site visits to several brands such as Chatime for Thuriya Win. Soon after their trip to Taiwan, TAITRA branch in Yangon, Myanmar (Taiwan Trade Center, Yangon), arranged conference calls for Thuriya Win to cooperate with Chatime. At the end of 2019, Thuriya Win successfully signed an agent agreement with Chatime based on the growing brand awareness and consumer preference for partnering with Taiwanese brands in the targeted-market of Yangon. Taiwan Trade Center, Yangon, also helped to promote the opening ceremony of Chatime Cafe in Times City Yangon on February 1, 2020.

Myanmar’s open-door policy welcomed Chatime to open stores, which are one of the fastest growing ice tea franchises in the world. Chatime cooperating with Thuriya Win, has planned to open four outlets in Yangon. The population of Myanmar has ranked 5th among ASEAN countries with nearly 55 million people in 2019. In addition to international brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, KFC, Hilton Hotel and so on, the vast consumer market has encouraged Chatime to keep opening new outlets. As Chatime has been promoted across North and South America, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Asia Pacific step by step, Chatime will keep offering fabulous and flavorful beverage creations of the best quality that meet international standards.
