Yucatecan gastronomy promotes Mexico´s tourism at World Travel Market Fair

The delicious gastronomy of the Mexican state of Yucatan has amazed the palates of the attendees of the World Travel Market, which brought together more than 50,000 industry tourism delegates from November 5th to 7th in London.
The Yucatan´s Minister of Tourism, Michelle Fridman, assured Notimex that her state has a range of tourist attractions to offer, but this year they put on the shirt of the Yucatecan gastronomy.
Yucatecan cuisine represents the Mayan heritage with local ingredients such as: habanero and annatto that are typical of the state of Yucatan.
The event sponsored by the government of the state of Yucatan offered black ceviche, Yucatecan style esquites, the famous cochinita pibil, as well as venison pipian with exclusive fruits of the entity.
The Tourism Minister noted that many foreigners travel to the neighboring state of Quintana Roo, but noted that Yucatan offers the traveler a “much more boutique” type experience. “We have a segment aimed at the luxury segment, we also have historic haciendas that today serve as luxury hotels and more than 30 archeological sites, two of them World Heritage Sites”.
