Aeromexico, Mexico´s largest airline, launches discount for passengers with Mexican DNA

Aeromexico, Mexico´s largest airline, recently launched an ad campaign mocking the immigration battles raging in the U.S. by offering people discounts based on their Mexican heritage.
The ad begins with interviews of several locals in a small Texas town who openly admit they would not consider traveling to Mexico. While it was unclear if the people interviewed for the advertisement were actors, they were reportedly all given DNA tests to determine what percentage of their heritage came back as Mexican, that percentage would be the discount applied to their ticket fare.
According to the ad, 54% of people who underwent DNA tests in four southern U.S. states had Mexican heritage and were consequently given airfare discounts at Aeromexico travel agencies.
Some saw the DNA Discounts as a jab at U.S. President Donald Trump´s border policies.
