The Polish CD Projekt company, has become the second largest game studio in Europe with total market value of more than 8 billion dollars. That is even more impressive, considering the fact that this January the studio was worth 1.2 billion dollars less.

Today, on Friday 24th CD Projekt's share quotation are rising by almost 3%.   With the PLN 365  value of one asset, capitalization of CD Projekt reached an impressive  amount of PLN 35 billion.

In terms of total market value, CD Projekt has been a leader on the Warsaw Stock Exchange for several weeks. As company gradually jumped over individual companies, and when the game studio reached value higher than PKO BP (The PKO Bank Polski Group is one of the largest financial institutions in Poland) they no longer had competition. Recently, the valuations of banks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange are under pressure, which has further increased the space between CD Projekt and PKO BP. What's more, currently PKO BP has even lost its position as a vice-leader in this ranking to  PKN Orlen group. Currently, the total market value of the aforementioned fuel concern reaches PLN 26.3 billion, whereas PKO BP is worth PLN 26.2 billion.

CD Projekt's share quotations are moving in a long-term uptrend. In previous years, the driving force behind the company's business was the "The Witcher" series, which turned out to be a global hit sold in over 40 million copies. However, the increases observed for a long time are related to the potential success of the next game, which is - according to the company - larger a hit than the series about Geralt of Rivia. It's all about the game "Cyberpunk 2077", which is scheduled to be released on September 17. The company declares that this date is not about to be changed – game designers are working remotely in order to avoid delay.

It is worth adding that CD Projekt is already valued only slightly lower than the European biggest game producer - Ubisoft. Currently, the total value of stock shares of the French group is accumulating just over EUR 8 billion, which is PLN 36 billion.
