6 Canadian Start-ups Make World Economic Forum’s List of Technology Pioneers in 2020

With the believe that innovation is critical to the future well-being of society, the World Economic Forum (WEF) launched the Technology Pioneer community in 2000. It composed of early to growth-stage companies from around the world that are involved in the design, development and deployment of new technologies and innovations, and are poised to have a significant impact on business and society.
Every year since then, a limited number of companies are named to the list to join a WEF program that aims to give next generation innovators a voice in solving global issues and explore new technologies that could transform business models and society.
Of the 100 companies named to the list this year, 6 Canadian start-ups made it to the list. They are:
Carbon Engineering (carbonengineering.com)
Axonify (axonify.com)
Mindbridge (mindbridge.ai)
Polystyvert (polystyvert.com)
Two Hat Security (twohat.com)
Trulioo (trulioo.com)
Companies that made the list previously include Google, Airbnb, Twitter, Spotify and Kickstarter.
