New Generation Computing Honored for Partnered Work Advancing Digital Supply Chains
Source:businesswire From:Taiwan Trade Center Chicago Update Time:2020/07/15

In 2020, New Generation Computing (NGC) has stepped up to help the company, C&A, create and design a digital supply chain.  C&A is a growing, global fashion retail company that needed a partner to help them quicken their process of getting products out and making quicker decisions based on clear data.  NGC took on this issue and not only helped C&A with their supply chain, but they gave C&A increased exposure which has helped them grow as a company and gain more investors.  Specifically, their solution involved compartmentalizing C&A’s current system.  The result is then planning product launches by season, streamlining them, and then, tracking developments as they happen both within the company and externally with vendors.

NGC has created a digital supply chain for more than just C&A.  Their solution has been used by Brooks Brothers, Foot Locker, Lacoste, Spanx, and more.  Specifically, the software handles a diversity of company aspects such as customer lifecycles, compliance, inventory, retail optimization, and long-term business planning.  By handling these parts, companies can generate even higher revenues and profits by increasing their lead times and streamlining products.

NGC’s work was then honored by Supply and Demand Chain Executive, who award companies for their work regarding supply chains. After this was awarded, Mark Burstein, NGC president, stated that this process, though successful, took four years to complete from when C&A approached them in 2016.  The editor from SDCE stated that these types of partnerships allow for all types of companies to progress and grow in the competitive industries they exist in.

Unfortunately, NGC’s solution isn’t perfect, and is affected by world happenings such as U.S. market uncertainty since the economic crash earlier this year, business recovery from the COVID-19 crash, global trade, software errors, and overall general risks that come with new product development.
