Taiwan Gaming Companies Showcase Innovations at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2020 Online

TOKYO GAME SHOW 2020 ONLINE (TGS2020 ONLINE), one of the largest and most influential events for the video gaming industry, will have its grand debut on September 23 through the official TGS website (https://tgs.cesa.or.jp).
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the unpredictable situation in Japan, the physical event format was dropped by the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), a gaming show organizer, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. CESA then announced the online show, which will be held for five days (September 23-27, 2020) on the official TGS website, replacing the canceled TGS 2020 originally planned for this September at Makuhari Messe, Japan. This is the first time that TGS holding online exhibition since 1996.
With the support of Taiwan's Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, TAITRA organized a group of leading gaming companies to exhibit at TGS2020 ONLINE. The Taiwanese delegation comprises 18 companies (see Table 1). They are experienced in gaming development, publishing, art outsourcing, localization, and producing gaming peripherals, and more. With its freedom, diversity and innovative ability, these Taiwanese companies have strong insights that serve to navigate the larger gaming market.
TAITRA estimates more than 200 effective one-on-one online meetings during the event and anticipates huge business opportunities for the Taiwanese gaming industry.
The online world is a diverse space where people from all over the world can connect beyond physical distance and time barriers in real-time. Gaming offer an opportunity to cross the boundaries of the game itself and alter our future in a variety of areas.
