The fire stations are being modernized with equipment and software for BGN 6 million

The fire department is ready for a quicker response to accidents. With new software and communication equipment, which is worthing over 6 million bulgarian leva, coming from the Internal Security Fund at the Ministry of Interior, the signals for incidents will be processed in a timely manner. It is innovation, which will be implemented for first time in the country of Bulgaria and it will be very helpful to all the Fire Departments in the country.
For almost six years, the main innovation department has been working for the new software integrated information system for coordination and management of forces and means of the fire service, which distributes signals as optimally as possible and facilitates coordination between the teams. This will certainly help the firefighters to react faster, said the Commissioner Mr. Krassimir Shotarov - Director of the Directorate for Operational Activities: "Let's get to the level of the new service as quickly as possible the quick way to the accident itself ".
The Tetra radio communication system is also being modernized. In the future, according to other projects, each fire truck will be equipped with a spesialized tablet on which the data on accidents will be published and updated in real time.
Inspector Mr. Krassimir Nikolov says about the new system: "This will be a very useful database, which will allow us more quickly to filter and sort information about a particular unit, how many people are there, with what type blood type they are, because we need this information, also how many people know foreign languages or how many people have taken a course to help and work with the firemans ".
