German sportswear manufacturer Adidas is opening its first flagship "Brand Center" store in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), to be more precise in Poland's capital--Warsaw.
Adidas, which currently has 35 so-called Brand Centers globally as well as flagship stores in its key markets: London, Paris, Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles, has taken an important step in its development in Poland, where it has been present since 1991, according to The First News citing the Puls Biznesu business daily.
"Warsaw plays an ever greater role in building trends, hence the choice of this city was key for us," Adidas's managing director for Central Europe, Marina Mogus, told the paper. "Adidas is a well-recognized brand often worn in Poland, and that's why we want to ensure consumers have the possibility to have the best and most modern retail experience."
The first Brand Center was opened in 2019 in the capital of Great Britain, and the first in Central Europe was in 2021 in Berlin.
The Polish Brand Center, which will overlook the capital's Palace of Science and Culture, will take up 2,400 square meters on three floors of the Wars Sawa Junior building, of which 420 square meters will be the Sports Base Warsaw, a free training and meeting space.
"Half the store's area will be taken up by a sales hall," the daily wrote. "It is packed with technology. Customers can scan footwear with an app for example. In the changing rooms, there are screens enabling the viewing of products, for instance among nature or on a running trail."
