Sphera Franchise Group, which owns the company that manages the local KFC franchise system, expands its local portfolio by opening the first KFC unit in Slobozia, following an investment of approximately 1 million euros, according to a group press release.
According to the quoted source, at present, the KFC network covers over 40 cities of the country, both Drive-Thru units, street units and food courts, being the largest QSR chain in Romania in terms of number of restaurants.
"The opening of the KFC Drive-Thru in Slobozia strengthens the network by expanding to a new city and locating the unit in a shopping center, aspects that we take into account when we draw up the development plans to achieve both financial and image targets. We continue to focus on diversifying our portfolio by opening different types of restaurants - Drive-Thru units, restaurants in shopping malls or street restaurants, but at the same time being able to respond to ever-changing consumer habits by investing in new technologies, digitization, optimization of processes," said Marian Gogu, General Manager of KFC Romania.
The new KFC unit, located within the Slobozia Value Center Shopping Center in the Municipality of Slobozia, on Bucharest-Constanţa Highway DN 2A, No. 3K, is operational starting from October 12, 2023. The restaurant, built according to the latest KFC international standards in terms of design, digitization and facilities, is equipped with digital kiosks, for ease of placing orders, and with screens, for the presentation interactive of products and offers.
Thus, in the new restaurant in Slobozia, customers can enjoy the memorable experience specific to the KFC brand, enjoying unique products with a distinct taste, freshly cooked every day to the highest standards of quality and food safety.
The unit operates daily from 09:00 to 23:00 and benefits from a generous capacity of approximately 100 seats, being open both for serving products in the restaurant or on its terrace, and for takeaway.

The new KFC Drive-Thru Slobozia restaurant offers over 40 new jobs in various positions from kitchen worker to restaurant manager. At KFC, employees find a dynamic work environment, opportunities for professional and personal development and free access to over 700 online courses. A Crew Member (Kitchen or Cashier) can have a net income of up to 3,100 lei, starting from the third month of collaboration. This amount includes the basic salary, meal vouchers, bonuses or premiums granted according to internal criteria.
