Kiwico CorporationHMM (Kiwico Corporation) is a local Taiwanese brand established in 2014 by Kiwico Corporation, a group of designers focusing on brand development and product design. It emerged as an independent entity, breaking away from the structure of an advertising design company to establish the HMM Design Brand. In addition to classic and creative designs, HMM incorporates elements of environmental sustainability. Their stationery products, including rulers, scissors, slide pens, and paper clips, have garnered domestic and international recognition and awards.
In 2019, TAITRA reached HMM and extended a proactive invitation for them to participate in The Cultural and Creative Matchmaking Event. Despite their numerous international design awards, HMM had not previously engaged in TAITRA's activities and was unaware of our role in assisting businesses with global marketing. From 2019 to 2023, including the challenging COVID-19 period, TIATRA provided HMM with timely and diverse marketing channels through various cultural and creative promotion activities.
For the 2023 Cultural and Creative Matchmaking Event, TAITRA had arranged Muy and HMM for online meetings successfully on April 12. Soon HMM, had already completed the first shipment of their entire product range in mid-May. According to HMM Manager Mei, the French market has been stagnant due to the pandemic, and inflation caused by the war has impacted the German market. Muy has demonstrated the most proactive and swift response among Mei's negotiation counterparts. Consequently, both parties have signed an agreement appointing Muy as the regional distributor for Spain and Portugal. TAITRA has successfully facilitated HMM (Kiwico Corporation) secure the agency contract with Muy and establish new marketing channels in Spain and Portugal.
Studio UntoS Design Co., Ltd., based in New York City, USA, was founded by two industrial designers who studied and worked in the US. It is a typical small creative design enterprise in Taiwan. In 2019, they returned to Taiwan to establish the company with the belief in the ability to design and create aesthetics in life. With Taiwan as its production base, the company plans to expand its self-created designed products from domestic to international markets. Their brand reinterprets the functional aesthetics in product design from their perspective. Their creative point of departure focuses on the stories the object and the design leave behind after interaction. TZULAï offers high-quality household productsTZULAï was established in 2013, and its team members are from the business, marketing and senior designer team of Gaochang Trading. Gaochang Trading has been engaged in the manufacture of household products for 30 years, mainly designing and OEM for high-end European brands; through the integration of Taiwan factories, Gaochang can not only manufacture and develop high-quality household products, but also have independent design capabilities.
The Gaochang team has been devoted to cultivating Taiwanese local culture in recent years, and TZULAï was born out of the love for Taiwanese culture. The seaside plastic waste on the edge of the sea uses the original family industry's expertise in plastic household products and the technical resources of downstream manufacturers to overcome the arduous process of sea waste recycling. After coffee grounds, it gives sea waste "plastic wood" a new life. Just as its name comes from the Taiwanese "cuo nei", which means home. "Cuo Nei" hopes that Taiwan will also have a brand of household goods that belongs to our memory, carrying the terroir texture and cultural context, and seeing the current life inward; telling the "house-style life" outward, so that the memory and connection can be Shine internationally.
OO Character IP Licensing CompanyOO Company was founded by the same university graduate, with a common creative concept and passion, they jointly established an illustration design studio to design and develop products with local cultural elements. The two created a group of barefooted and hairy elves called the " Chimoz", whose bare feet represent their love of being close to the natural land and hairy feet represent their innate characteristics, thereby conveying the concepts of "loving the world" and "being oneself".
Recommended by TAITRA, OO company exhibited in the Hong Kong International Licensing Show. After participating in the Hong Kong Licensing Show, OO company was favored by Hong Kong-based trading company, which found that the concept of love for the Earth created by OO company was a good match with the Japanese stationery it represented. However, due to the impact of the covid-19 pandemic, the cooperation project was changed to an online marketing project. OO company designed postcards with cultural characteristics of Taiwan and Hong Kong, and invite Hong Kong fans to color them and share them on FB and Instagram.
Vinaera’s decanter successfully entered the Malaysian marketVinaera was established in 1997. In 2014, the world's first electronic decanter (MV6/MV62) was released, and it was immediately recognized by the German Red Dot Design Best Design Award, creating a revolution in decanting equipment. Through Vinaera's patented design, it can effectively reduce the bitterness and miscellaneous taste of red wine due to brewing, and then retain the smooth and aromatic taste of red wine, improve the original value of wine, and enable modern people to be simple and convenient in a busy environment.
In 2018, the "world's first adjustable electronic decanter" (Vinaera PRO-MV7) was launched, and it has won many international design awards: Japan Good Design Award, London International CREATIVE Competition Award, European Product Design Award Silver Prize, USA International Design Awards Gold Winner and Taiwan Excellence Silver Award.
Vinaera participated in the 2021 "Taiwan Outstanding Cultural Innovation Show Manufacturers Online Conference and Malaysia Trade Mission" event, and was inquired and purchased by Malaysian businessman MEKIO Holdings Sdn Bhd, successfully entering the Malaysian channel market, and follow-up business opportunities can be expected.
NOVIUM has opened up the Japanese market Shanpo Life Co., Ltd. with the enthusiasm and ideas of young people during their university years. For six years, the team has been committed to developing new conceptual design products that have not been seen in the market and insisted on Taiwan R&D, design, and manufacture in Taiwan.
In 2018, it began to transform into the development of novelty products. The product [self-supporting pen] pioneered the patent of magnetic field structure, which can float forever without electricity. It has multi-national patents. At present, it has distributors in 7 countries, and the products have been sold to 70 countries around the world. Global crowdfunding has exceeded 30 million Taiwan dollars, and revenue has doubled every year. A new brand [novium] was launched in 2021 and has broken many international crowdfunding records. Participated in the 2021 "On-line Trade Mission of New Normal Life Business Opportunities in Design Products to Japan, and attracted 16 Japanese companies to register and negotiate. As a result, Novium successfully became the supplier of Japan's most famous TSUTAYA Bookstore this August. TSUTAYA was founded in 1983 and has established more than 1,400 branches in Japan. The head office "Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore" is known as one of the 20 most beautiful bookstores globally. " TSUTAYA Bookstore" Representing new lifestyle energy in Japan, it is the most popular large-scale music, books, stationery, and gift compound bookstore in Japan among young people. After the exhibiton, the Beijing company signed a three-year licensing contract with OO company. The Beijing-based company will start manufacture "Win Brothers" plush toy dolls and sell them at their channels in Mainland China.

Guangzhou Book Center, which opened in 1994, is one of the first large-scale bookshops in China. As an old brand with a history of 26 years, Guangzhou Reserve Center has a deep cultural heritage, tradition and innovation. The recently renovated Guangzhou Book Center is a nine-story store including a music department in the basement and the New Page on the fourth floor that provides a useful but expensive selection of imported English books including classics and bestsellers. The whole building becomes very busy on weekends.
